Sales Leader

CONTENT:

(€50K base + up to €40K performance bonus | ESOP | Remote-first / Hybrid | Europe travel)

Everyone’s talking about terraforming Mars.
Meanwhile, waste infrastructure is still being designed with Excel from the ’90s. Plants built with those tools will run for 25 years.

We’re Humara. We build physics-based simulation software that helps engineers and operators design better plants faster,  and run them smarter. No dashboards nobody uses. Real tools that change how work gets done.

We’re hiring a Sales Leader to own revenue and build the sales engine that scales.

THE CHALLENGE:

The tech works. The clients trust it. Veolia, PreZero, Valoriza, and FCC are already using Humara.

Now comes the hard part: selling transformation to a traditional industry. You’ll be talking to operators who’ve run on spreadsheets for decades and asking them to trust simulations and change workflows. That’s exactly where the opportunity is.

RESPONSABILITIES:

Build the sales function

  • Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing team (starting with 3+ commercial profiles)

  • Create the sales process, tools, and rituals that scale

Own revenue growth

  • Hit and exceed revenue targets quarter over quarter

  • Build pipeline via outbound, events, partnerships, and creative channels

  • Close complex, technical deals with 6–12 month sales cycles

Sell transformation (not “software”)

  • Go deep on customer pain: inefficiency, regulation, rising costs

  • Translate technical capabilities into business outcomes

  • Present at trade shows, conferences, and client sites across Europe

  • Handle skeptical buyers with data + empathy

Connect Sales to Product

  • Run a tight feedback loop with Product + Customer Success

  • Help shape the roadmap based on what wins deals and keeps clients

Experiment fast

  • Test, iterate, learn, without waiting for permission

  • Bring fresh ideas and move quickly

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

Must-haves

  • 8+ years in B2B sales (ideally technical products/services)

  • Waste/recycling/environmental infrastructure experience — you know how decisions get made

  • Proven track record closing complex deals with multiple stakeholders

  • Leadership experience (built or managed teams)

  • Fluent English + Spanish (more languages = plus)

  • Strong technical selling: simplify complexity, tie features to outcomes

Nice-to-haves

  • SaaS / industrial software experience

  • Apollo, Pipedrive, LinkedIn Sales Navigator (and AI-powered workflows)

  • Network across waste management, engineering firms, operators

The package

  • Salary: €50K base (depending on experience) + up to €40K performance bonus
